Thanks Card

Another card I made:

**EDIT - A BIG Thank You to MagsB for reminding me who the artists of this digital stamp is. I received it as a free gift for a challenge at Crafters Digital Art Center but you can now purchase this stamp over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I just LOVE the colours in this card. I started out with the plaid aqua paper. I designed this myself in Photoshop. Oh what to do....I had recently bought this X Cut label die so I ran the paper and also white card through the ole Cuttlebug and cut out the shapes. The digital stamp is driving me crazy. I have NO IDEA who the artist and creator is of this digi stamp! I'm very good at setting up files for all the digital stamps I download and naming them with the artists or website's name. I cannot even find this stamp on my hard drive anymore! I KNOW its a digi stamp so if anyone can tell me where I got this, please let me know so I can give credit...this is so annoying of me...lol.

Also there are 2 new techniques used on this card. This is my first time using this cutting dies plus its also the first time I used a design to go "Over the Edge." Here is what the card looks like from the side, you can see where the edge of the label die creates the side of the card. Also you can see how I did the inside of the card.

Summer Ice Cream Card & FREEBIE

Here is one of my latest cards. Scroll to bottom for the freebie:

I myself don't eat ice cream but a cone like this sure looks tempting...lol. I happen to be sensitive to dairy. It's a food allergy I found out I had about 4 years ago so now I don't drink milk, eat ice cream and stuff like that. The only dairy item I do eat is yogurt which doesn't upset my tummy. I guess I can think of the ice cream cone on my card as containing frozen yogurt then!

SUPPLIES USED:
White 300 gsm card base
Tawny Grey cardstock from DCWV Neutrals card stack
Ribbon Rose, beige lace and buttons from stash
Backing papers, Ice cream decoupage and sentiment created by me in Photoshop (see below)

CHALLENGES ENTERED:
Just Inspirational Challenges - Ice cream or Snowman
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
The Stamp Man Challenges - Anything Goes (Summer Colours)

FREEBIE:
A note here: I created this card using items I created in Photoshop and printed out myself. Inside the card I put "...because you are so sweet!" As a little freebie, I have the printable sheet I created to make this card so you can download it if you like and have a go. I created all the elements of the card myself including the background papers. Hope some of you can use it!

Have a Craft Happy Day!

WOW

Here I am, just restarting my blog after a long absence, right? I start entering challenges for the first time and my very first card got featured on the Daily Talent Spot over on Johanna Sheen's Challenge blog!

I can hardly believe it. I am so honoured they liked my card enough to feature it. Thank you so much!

Can't ya tell I'm chuffed? LOL

Red & White Card

I'm here with another card! I'd like to tell you a little about my style...I like simpler cards because I actually like to post them to people. When there is too much stuff on them they are too thick unless I put them in a box first and by then it costs a fortune to post it...lol.

I also like to use lots of papers and accents that I print from my computer. I use lots of digital scrap kit and papers.

The card above came about as a theme for a card swap I belong to here in the UK. It was a crimson/red/pink theme. It all started with the red gingham ribbon and went from there. I made the big bow from 3 ribbons, 2 buttons stacked and white thread.

SUPPLY LIST:
White card base from The Paper Mill
Red generic cardstock
Flower and Dotted papers designed by me in Photoshop, printed with Epsom printer.
Gingham ribbon was free gift in a crafting magazine.
All other ribbons from Ribbon Oasis
3 mini sentiment clear stamps by MSE (My Sentiments Exactly)
red ink
white embroidery thread.

CHALLENGE ENTRIES:
Paper Take Weekly - used their sketch
Crafting When We Can - monochrome
Try It On Tuesday - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Focus on the ribbon
